[Rifa Group] Making Staff Working Under The Heat ‘Cool’ Again

Since July this year, high temperatures have been shrouded throughout the country. The provincial and municipal meteorological stations have frequently issued orange high temperature warning. Workshops of some factories in the Group reached 40 degree in temperature at one point, and yet, staff there still stuck to their posts. They carefully detected and adjusted the machines, took each part and accessory into inventory, repaired assembly loom… Dripping with sweat, they worked tremendously hard to ensure smooth production in the hot summer season.

In order to ensure that employees have a good working environment and plenty of energy, trade unions of Rifa Textile, Shandong Rifa Textile, and Anhui Rifa Textile carried out "Cooling Carnival" activities.

Trade Union of Rifa Textile Machinery focused on the implementation of the sunstroke prevention and cooling measures for the front-line staff, and conducted a comprehensive inspection of drinking water equipment. Trade Union of Rifa Textile Machinery distributed ice cream, ice tea and other heatstroke prevention goods. At the same time, f the government also came to the workshops to visit our staff working in heat. Vice Chairman Gao Er’shan of Ma'anshan City Federation of Trade Unions distributed 260 packages of green beans, sugar, Mineral water, towels and other goods with the total value of 5,000 yuan.

This yearly “Cooling Carnival” is a tradition of Rifa. This does not only demonstrate our respect and devotion to protect worker’s rights, but also an important step to pay our respect to the ones working at the front line.
